APPLE CRUMBLE CEREAL BARS
80g almonds skin on, blitzed but still with texture
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 1/w tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground nutmeg
200g unsweetened apple sauce or 200g of home stewed apples
2 medium eggs
75ml natural honey
210ml semi skimmed milk
1 tsp almond extract
2 apples finely diced, skin on
Preheat oven to 180 degrees
Line a 23cm x 23cm tin with baking paper.
In a large bowl mix together the oats, almonds, salt, baking powder, cinnamon & nutmeg .
In another bowl beat the eggs and add the honey, milk, Apple sauce, almond extract and diced apples.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix thoroughly until completely combined.
Tip into your prepared tin and level.
Bake for 35 minutes until the top is set and it’s golden around the edges.
Allow to cool, pop out of the tin and slice into bars.
Store in an airtight container.
